The Ford Tri-Motor event was a great success. The turnout was better than for the average tour stop.
Planning for the Fall Fly-in:
Our Fly-in is November 2nd from about 8a to 2:30p
Larry and his cousin will be preparing the BBQ. We voted to authorize the pork purchases to have everything ready in time.
Deanna Scott has volunteered to make the potato salad and slaw for the Fly-in.
Doug volunteered to cook a chicken bog (perlo), pick up the backed beans, containers, and drinks from Sam's.
We'll cook the baked beans on the morning of event.
Post card mailers have been ordered
Christmas party time already!
The plan is for December 8th @ Mangos. Price to be $25 per person, payable at the Fly-in so that we can reserve and commit to the meeting room ahead of time.
The Tri-Motor visit was so much fun we can't wait to do it again.
We voted to request the team bring the airplane again next year (or as soon as practicle).
We also discussed inviting the B-17, maybe it can fit between years of the Tri-Motor visits.
We discussed the inquiry by the Southeast Aviation Expo folks to establish an EAA booth for 2014 – we don't believe that our Chapter is able to participate but Larry Howell will contact EAA HQ for participation at that level.
Recent changes in airport management means we have to start again seeking authorization to use the hanger room for our build projects.
Adjourned meeting.
